The Kaua‘i Bus is announcing bus route changes for Saturday, Aug. 20, due to the Visitor Industry Charity Walk in Līhu‘e.
Līhu‘e Shuttle 70 will not be in service for Rice Street, as the Kaua‘i Police Department will close off roads in the Līhu‘e area from 6:45 to 9 a.m.
Road closures will include:
– Ho‘olako Street, from Vidinha Stadium to Rice Street;
– Rice Street, from Ho‘olako Street to Umi Street
– Umi Street; and
– Ninini Point Road.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution as the route for walkers includes the shoulders of Ahukini Road and Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Highway.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations.
